CWHI Marks Arrival of First Batch of Transition Pieces at Port of Leith for Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm

CWHI is pleased to announce the successful arrival of the first batch of 15 fully commissioned Transition Pieces (TPs) at Port of Leith, marking another key milestone in Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm project.

The Transition Pieces were safely transported from CWHI's yard on November and arrived in Scotland following an on-time ocean voyage aboard the COSCO heavy-lift vessel "HUA SHENG LONG". Their arrival represents the next critical step toward offshore installation and reinforces CWHI's role as the first Chinese supplier to deliver fully commissioned Transition Pieces for this landmark UK offshore wind project.

Each TP reflects CWHI's commitment to precision engineering and world-class quality. Standing up to 28 metres tall, with an 8.3-metre outer diameter and weighing approximately 600 metric tonnes, the structures are designed to meet stringent offshore performance, safety, and durability requirements.

"The successful arrival of the first batch of Transition Pieces at the Port of Leith demonstrates the strong collaboration between our teams, logistics partners, and the Inch Cape project," said Dale Young, Chief Development Officer of CWHI. "With subsequent batches already in preparation and transit planning underway, we look forward to the arrival of the next batch in the near future as the project progresses toward offshore installation."

CWHI is proud to contribute to the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm, a project that will play a vital role in supplying sustainable, low-carbon electricity to the UK. The arrival of these Transition Pieces underscores the shared commitment of all project partners to advancing renewable energy and achieving net-zero goals.
