Engineering and Quality
Each Transition Piece reflects precision engineering and world-class quality standards. Each unit stands up to 28 metres tall, with an outer diameter of 8.3 metres and a weight of approximately 600 metric tonnes, designed to ensure durability, performance, and long-term offshore reliability under demanding operating conditions.
The successful completion of this scope further reinforces CWHI's role as a trusted global supplier for offshore wind foundation structures and highlights the contribution of advanced Chinese manufacturing to the global energy transition.

“We celebrate the conclusion of our biggest Transition Piece project to date — a total of 30 TPs for Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm — all completed on schedule and delivered to the highest standards,” said Tina Xu, Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of CWHI. “We sincerely thank the Inch Cape project team for placing their trust in us, and we deeply appreciate their confidence in our team and our unwavering commitment to quality.”
This milestone reflects the dedication of the entire project team and the close collaboration across CWHI's yards. CWHI is proud to contribute to one of the UK's landmark offshore wind developments as the company continues moving Ahead for Energy.
