To coincide with World Safety Day on 28th April, CHWI recently held HSE events at its Zhongshan (22nd April) and Qinzhou (25th April) yards to emphasise our ongoing commitment to continuous HSE improvement in every aspect.

Dale Young, Executive Director for Business Development, applauded these initiatives: “As a company safety is at the heart of everything we do and is critical to our operations and continued success. As such, the importance of fostering a strong safety culture cannot be understated and we remain committed to encouraging and promoting the highest standards for all.”

All employees undertook basic HSE training and small site audits across both sites to ensure HSE compliance and discussion between employees on safety improvement. Upon completion of the training, all participants were given safety stickers that will feature prominently on PPE and serve as a constant reminder of our ironclad commitment to a strong safety culture.

World Safety Day explores safe and healthy working environments as a fundamental principle and right at work and helps to raise awareness around the prevention of occupational accidents and ill health globally.
