CWHI, Powering the Future with Floating Wind

At CWHI, we are driving the next wave of offshore innovation with the fabrication of floating wind foundations, a key enabler of the industry's global transition to deeper waters and greater renewable capacity.

In a major milestone for the industry, CWHI successfully delivered the first domestic floating platform for the FUYAO Floating Wind Project in 2022. Weighing 3,351 tons, the structure became the largest floating wind turbine platform in China at the time, underscoring CWHI's unique capability to deliver complex, large-scale floating substructures for this rapidly growing sector.

“Floating wind is the next frontier in offshore energy, and CWHI is proud to be at the forefront of this transition,” said Mrs. Tina Xu, CEO of CWHI. “Our successful execution of the FUYAO platform demonstrates not only our technical strength, but also our commitment to enabling the future of clean, sustainable energy.”

As offshore wind projects push further from shore, global demand is rising for partners who can deliver floating solutions reliably, safely, and at commercial scale. At CWHI, we align our strengths with this demand:

- Full Lifecycle Support

CWHI offers comprehensive services throughout the entire product lifecycle. As the designated construction partner from the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) stage, we provide constructability and feasibility insights from a builder's perspective—helping clients optimize designs and reduce development costs early on.

- Flexible Contracting Solutions

With extensive fabrication experience, CWHI offers tailored contracting models—from individual components and blocks to complete Floating Sub-Structures (FSS). We adapt to each client's scope, timeline, and technical specifications.

- Advanced Fabrication Facilities

CWHI maximises the capabilities of its strategically located yards to meet various floater design requirements:

-Shipbuilding-Type Floaters: Our Longxue Yard offers deep experience and capacity in hull construction, making it ideal for ship-shaped floater designs.

-Tubular-Type Floaters: Recognised for excellence in tubular manufacturing, our Lingang, Xiangshui, Zhongshan, and Qinzhou Yards, supported by CWHI's sister yards, are well-suited for efficient, scalable production of tubular structures.

- Quality Control Excellence

CWHI maintain rigorous quality assurance processes, ensuring every component is built to the highest standards for safety, performance, and durability in harsh marine environments.

- Strategic Logistics & Transportation Strength

With strong logistics partnerships and a dedicated in-house team, CWHI offers comprehensive transportation services and cost analysis to support global deliveries. Proximity to major ports—especially Longxue and Lingang Yards—provides significant logistical advantages for exporting oversized structures to global markets.

With these advantages, CWHI has the capacity and expertise to support the commercial-scale production of floating wind foundations worldwide, delivering high-quality components with precision, efficiency, and sustainability at the forefront.

As the offshore wind industry advances into deeper waters and larger turbine capacities, CWHI is ready to meet the challenge. Combining technical expertise, large-scale fabrication capacity, strategic yard planning and strategic logistics, we are not only building today's floating wind infrastructure, but also shaping the future of offshore energy innovation.
