CWHI Celebrates Departure of Third Batch of XXL Monopiles for Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm

CWHI proudly marks another milestone in the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm project with the successful dispatch of the third batch of eight (8) XXL monopiles, which departed from the Qinzhou yard aboard the COSCO vessel “XIANG YUNKOU.”

This follows the completion and delivery of two earlier batches comprising sixteen (16) XXL monopiles in total, with the first shipment arriving on schedule at the Port of Leith earlier this month and the second batch due to arrive imminently, also on time. Including this latest departure, CWHI has now successfully delivered a total of twenty-four (24) XXL monopiles for the project.

The Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm, located off the east coast of Scotland, represents a major renewable energy development supporting the UK's offshore wind ambitions. CWHI's scope includes the fabrication of thirty-two (32) XXL monopiles at its Qinzhou yard and thirty (30) transition pieces at its Zhongshan and Longxue facilities.

“With each shipment, we are proud to see the dedication of our teams and the strength of our partnership with Inch Cape reflected in real progress,” said Dale Young, Chief Development Officer at CWHI. “These milestones reaffirm CWHI's commitment to delivering high-quality offshore wind foundations safely and on schedule.”

With the final batch of monopiles entering the last stage of production, CWHI continues to demonstrate its commitment to on-time delivery, quality assurance, and engineering excellence. CWHI remains committed to driving progress across the offshore wind and wider energy sectors.
