CWHI is pleased to announce the completion of all monopile deliveries for the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm, marking a significant milestone in the development of one of Scotland's major offshore wind projects.
The final batch of eight (8) XXL monopiles has departed from CWHI's Qinzhou yard aboard the COSCO vessel “XIANG TAIKOU.” This final shipment concludes a multi-month delivery campaign comprising 32 XXL monopiles in total, with 24 units already arrived on schedule and successfully offloaded at Port of Leith.

Engineered and manufactured to meet the demanding requirements of offshore wind installation, each monopile measures up to 11.5 meters in diameter, stretches up to 103 meters in length, and weighs as much as 2,300 tonnes. These dimensions reflect the scale and complexity of the project, as well as CWHI's capability in delivering large-diameter, heavy-lift offshore foundations.
“Completing the full delivery scope for Inch Cape is a moment of pride for our organization,” said Dale Young, Chief Development Officer of CWHI. “This achievement highlights the dedication of our teams at Qinzhou yard, the strength of our logistics and vessel partners, and our continued commitment to supporting Scotland's renewable energy ambition.”

Located off the Angus coast, the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm will play an important role in strengthening the UK's clean energy generation capacity. CWHI is honored to contribute to a project that supports national decarbonization goals and reinforces Scotland's position as a global leader in offshore wind.
As the final shipment sails toward Port of Leith, CWHI extends its appreciation to all project partners, port authorities, and logistics teams whose collaboration made this delivery program a success. With all 32 XXL monopiles now delivered or en route, CWHI is proud to support the realization of the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm and remains committed to advancing clean energy infrastructure worldwide — Ahead for Energy.
